About Me

Hi!  Welcome to my blog, Spice and Sass.  Writing an "about me" blurb is one of the most awkward exercises ever, so I will try to keep this succinct.

I'm a born and raised East Tennessee girl, with sojourns to the great state of Georgia, both for college (Go Dawgs!) and law school (Go Emory, um, Eagles?).

I now live back in my hometown, with my husband Morgan, our daughter Dell Harper,  our son Deeds, and beloved furball, Buddy.

After Miss Priss here turned one, I left my job practicing real estate law at a firm, to work for my family's business.  My new job is a joy because I get to work from home, yet still use my legal training.  Initially, I was hesitant about the switch, but love working with my father and brother and my new flexibility.

When I'm not corralling my toddler and baby or trying to keep track of my father and brother's latest venture, I love to mess around in the kitchen, throw parties, read, and indulge in a few guilty pleasure TV shows (Hart of Dixie, anyone?).

Always feel free to shoot me a comment or e-mail if you ever have a question!

    1. It's River Gorge Gray by Benjamin Moore- I had them painted- laziness prevails when it comes to precise painting over here! Ha! Here's a detailed description- http://www.spiceandsass.com/2013/04/in-kitchen.html

    1. Hi Julie! It's River Gorge Gray by Benjamin Moore- just two coats. I didn't paint them myself (lazy) but I think my friend just used regular paint.

  3. Hello. I got to your site through a picture I took of some wallpaper I loved. The wallpaper had large grasshoppers, etc. Would you happen to know the source of that wallpaper? I love it. Painting my kitchen cabinets with chalk paint and will ,hopefully, be using that wallpaper.
