Please note the sippy cup and lack of beer. Oh, how my life has changed!
Are you sick of pictures of my baby? I don't blame you. We had a fun little visit from Erin- it involved some of Dell Harper's favorite things- playgrounds, water and BOYS. She was just enthralled with Hudson in particular. I can't believe we forgot to get some pictures of the kiddos running through the fountain.
I'm helping with Vacation Bible School all this week, so it will either cause me to have the discipline to write down a ton of delicious recipes for y'all, or I will be so exhausted that I will be unable to communicate entirely. I might be mute and subsisting completely on fresh tomatoes, okra and string beans. Mmmm.
Question- do y'all feel a certain affinity with the season of your birth month? For example, I adore summer above all, and I am an August baby. Morgan loves fall, and his birthday falls in late September. Coincidence?
Oh it was SO good to hug your neck and to finally meet the scrumptious Dell Harper. She was just the cutest. I wish we could have had more time! And I'm sporting a sweet sunburn today. :)
ReplyDeleteI have always loved the late fall because my birthday is in November. I think you're on to something!
DH is precious!! Love her swimsuit collection!
ReplyDeleteI could never get tired of pictures of sweet Dell Harper! Looks like you guys are having a great time. My favorite season is fall and I was born in March but spring is a close second. If spring had football, it would be the winner. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm August baby too! I was always a #1 fan of summer, but as I've gotten older, fall is by far my favorite. Maybe that's because I celebrate an entire birth month, so September feels like part of the festivities too?
ReplyDeleteI was born in late June, and truly hate summer! I strongly prefer fall and winter to the summer months, regardless of when my birthday happens to fall.
ReplyDeleteYes! I am also an August baby and have always loved summer. Although it was a little easier for me to love when I lived in the Northwest and it meant sunny, clear skies, and 80 degrees. Since moving to Texas, summer doesn't quite have the same thrill. But I love the late spring season here, which is similar to what I associate with summer in the NW.
ReplyDeleteI definitely think there is a birthday/favorite season connection or at least there is in my house! My birthday is in March, and my favorite season is in the spring while my husband's birthday is in September, and his favorite season is the fall. Of course, his favorite being fall is probably also heavily influenced by football and hunting seasons...
ReplyDeleteLooks like you're having the best kind of summer. I miss our pool and living five minutes from the lake. Perils of moving I suppose.
ReplyDeleteI am way jealous of your boat situation - living in Austin with 2 lakes to choose from, there was always boating fun to be had! Not so much in damn Dallas.
ReplyDeleteMy birthday is in February, and I love Fall and Summer equally... so I fear I may be the exception to your rule! {But, really, who likes February? Is it Winter? Is it Spring? Who the hell knows, pass the leftover heart-shaped Dove chocolates.}
