Tomorrow! Tomorrow! Tim Gunn is only a day away!

Hello, Tim Gunn. Please preside over all my dinner parties, and tell me how to tweak everything just so. Sigh.

I wish someone could just create a pocket size version of TG to ride around with me in my purse. Am I in or out? Not sure- I will consult my pocket Tim Gunn. I could make millions- it would be the must have accessory!

Project Runway starts tomorrow with the all-star competition at 8 (hurrah! Chris March, Mychael Knight, even Santino!!). I'm a little nervous about the move to Lifetime, but am really feeling this all-star thing.

Adorable!

Too bad there is no Laura Bennett.

No other way to describe her other than Badass. And she is a southerner.
Do ya'll watchers remember when they went to Central Park and she wore her riding boots?

Until then I will be reading recaps of previous seasons on Project Rungay. Auf Wiedersehen.

Bachelor Pad (Post Marriage) Before and After (bedroom)

For some reason I don't really have a before of this room. It was too hideous for pics I suppose. I love my painting above the bed- my Great-Aunt painted it and gave it to us for a wedding present.

My cozy king size bed. My mama says a king size bed is a key component of marriage. I am loving it for sure, as well as my Pottery Barn bedding. Hubs, of course, hated it at first, and now loves it. He says it was brighter and more girly in the store.

Huh. Below is pretty much exactly what it looked like in store.

Regardless I love my bed.

My antique bedside table- filled to the brim with books of course.

Our dresser, which is probably the only thing remaining from the former bach pad. The paintings are by my favorite East TN artist (his work also hangs in the living room). The two smaller paintings were Hubs' surprise wedding gift to me. Such a sweetie.

There is a small chair in the corner, which will be joined by another as soon as I get them recovered. Someday I will get it all together. I hope.

Here's the bath, which used to have one of those awful plastic doors to the shower, terrible lighting and a mirrored medicine cabinet from 1969. Not attractive. Now all you can see since my camera lost all its juice, is my lovely Tar-jay shower curtain and vintage print. Terribly exciting, I know.

Weekend Recap- Atlanta

Update- I know why I look weird- I hadn't put my makeup on yet!! I am one of those blondes who needs eyeliner and mascara for sure to bring out my blonde lashes and light eyes.

This is the only picture I remembered to take in Atlanta. I guess I was too busy talking and drinking. Here's me and AGM Friday night before heading to dinner. I look weird in this pic, and couldn't figure out why, until realizing I drank a bottle of wine before dinner. Oops. (I wore the DVF dress Saturday night because Friday was too durn hot.)

We went out to JCT for dinner then hit the roof at Six Feet Under for more cocktails. Saturday I slept shockingly late, hit up Houston's for my fave club salad, Aileens for a mani pedi, then enjoyed white wine spritzers with Lime Perrier on the patio. All the respective husbands and boyfriends had been doing their fantasy draft all afternoon, so we headed to their fave dive bar to meet them. Had a great time and was depressed it was over Sunday. As well as exhausted.

Sunday night I hit up the grocery and made Hubs and I some dinner. We had delish roasted veggies. I simply chopped yellow and red peppers, two leeks, and a clove of garlic. I tossed them in kosher salt, fresh pepper, and olive oil. A 425 oven for 30-45 minutes- voila!

We enjoyed our veggies with rib eyes, bread, grilled okra, and iced tea (in Tervis tumblers of course). Simple and super yummy, although I was having difficulty sitting still due to my Mad Men anticipation. Did anyone watch? Thoughts?
