A little rundown of what's floating around my brain as per my Pinterest account.
Oh, the reason for my current inability to form complete sentences? The FOUR MONTH REGRESSION. How the hell did I forget about this? It wasn't as bad with Dell Harper since she was a better sleeper than Deeds, but she went through it. I feel like I have a six week old. He started Friday. I am over it already, but it looks like I have about a month of this nonsense. WHHHHHHYYYYYYYY????
It seems like feeding a baby all night would be enough of a calorie burn to get me a bikini bod, but apparently I have counteracted all the nursing with eating all the (fried) oysters.
Enter the Flat Belly Food List. Sadly, Key Lime Pie and Fried Seafood (capitalized out of respect) are not among said belly-flattening foods.
I'm not a huge fan of sweets in the morning, and have been needing some new breakfast ideas. This article from Martha Stewart's clean eating specialist has some great ideas.
How sick are y'all of the phrase clean eating, by the way? I'm soooo over it. Especially all the various permutations which are completely off base. I get the original concept, as promoted by Tosca Reno- my old trainer was a fitness competitor and a huge proponent of it. But now everything is clean this clean that, blergh.
How cute are these? Publix down here has been having 2 for 1 on pre-cut watermelon, and I have been eating mass amounts of the stuff. Watermelon in the summer? Heaven! I feel so decadent and wasteful buying the pre-cut stuff- makes it extra tasty.
I need to make these for DH- she is always misplacing her glasses. Like mother, like daughter. Maybe I should make a pair for me as well. Wouldn't want to lose my $9.99 gas station shades.
Finally, as soon as Morgan gets down here to lend me a hand, I think these are in order. They combine three of my favorite things- La Croix, margaritas, and pretending to be dieting. What more could I girl need?

Sandy Comparisons and the Emergency Room
First up, a little comparison.
Dell Harper at the same age- May 2012 beach trip.
Well, they definitely are brother and sister. Ha! It's so fun having two who are exactly two years apart, but also dangerous- I don't want to fall into the comparison trap. No harm in comparing those sweet little baby limbs and cheeks, though.
Miss Priss has been having the time of her life- outside water play plus constant Gigi and Graddy access means she is just thrilled to pieces.
A little comparison of her on the beach last year.
Now for the emergency room. Saturday I took DH to the pool and playground while Mama stayed home with Deeds. After swimming, we hit the playground pretty hard- it was much easier to play with a baby strapped onto me. Anyway, I was running into the treehouse/fort type thing and forgot that the door was child sized. I nailed the top of the doorway with the crown of my noggin and saw stars. Although I knocked myself down, I didn't lose consciousness, so decided to shake it off. Ignoring my growing headache, I went about my business. Then, yesterday morning, I woke up to find dried blood in both my ears. Hmm. Not the best indicator of health. My doctor suggested caution and a CAT scan, as one should not take head injuries likely. So Mama watched Dell Harper, while Daddy and I loaded up Deeds for a little tour of the local hospital about 15 minutes away.
As you may have surmised from the tone of this post, everything is fine and my brain looked completely normal. Obviously, CAT scans do not measure sleep deprivation (ahem, DEEDS), and we were all vastly relieved. The doc had no idea why my ears had dried blood in them, and suggested it might have been there prior to my crashing into a 5 foot high doorway. Obviously he was not aware of my obsession with q-tip ear cleaning. It's a daily ritual.
Anyway, the beach is lovely, and I am exhausted but happy. I forgot how tough a newborn at the beach can be- thank goodness for grandparents! I'm starting to ramble and lose any semblance of coherency, so I will wrap this post of a thousand pictures and little substance up.

Five on Friday- What I'm Loving
Dell Harper decided to step in and provide the content for today's post, as I am rather groggy from Deeds' reaction to the loads of garlic-laden shrimp scampi I ate last night.
Dell Harper's Favorite Things (as told to Mama)
1. Frozen
This is really the only thing I like all the time. I want to watch it every minute, but if our tv is broken (again, suspicious), I will settle for listening to the soundtrack on Mama's phone. I make Mama read my Frozen book before every nap and bedtime. It's super long and awesome. I know when Mama skips any words because it's my favorite. If we skip, we need to start all over to truly understand the narrative.
I love when Mama is trying to work on her computer, or looks super sleepy. Then I throw a fit to watch "Fwozen Mooooo-veeee!!!!"" and normally the tv fixes itself really fast.
2. Magic Bath Colors
These are magic. I play hard to get with taking my bath, but then I have to add as many of these magic bath color drops as I can grab. I like to make my bath black with ALL the colors. Mama talks some boring stuff about how they are expensive, and one at a time but whatever. ALL THE COLORS!
3. Fishies
I want to look at fishies and pet them. I have to keep my hands to myself and not fall in water though. Me and Mama look at fishies in pond after Jazzercise, in our neighbor's pond on nature walks, and watched tadpoles in ponds at beach. I asked the tadpoles to come to my house and play, but Mama said they have to stay in water.
4. Big Pool
This is me eating fruit at the little pool. I like to swim at the big pool, but Baby Deeds is salting my big pool game. Luckily, Gigi came to the rescue and took me to big pool where I belong. I am a big girl. I went to swim lessons to prepare me for this opportunity. I'm really good and brave at jumping off the edge to Gigi's arms. After Mama took Deeds home, Gigi even took my puddle jumper off so I could really jump. It my favorite.
5. Frozen
Watch it AGAIN, MOMMY!!!!!!
Hope you have a wonderful day filled with Frozen and fishies!
