Some Whine With My Cheese

Random things I strongly dislike doing:

1.  Hanging up clothes.  Throwing them on the guest bed is far more efficient, no?

2.  Listening to voice-mail on my cell phone.  Sorry- I currently have 14.  If I have not responded to you in the last couple of days, that is why.  I'm sticking my head in the sand and ignoring you.  Not intentionally though.

3.  Putting up silverware.  Cups, plates, bowls, I will put away without complaint.  This is not helped by the fact that Hubs is very upset that 2 sets of stainless silverware have gotten mixed together.  He mentions this every time he puts away the clean silverware (emptying the dishwasher is normally his chore).  I have explained that mixed silver does not bother me.  Therefore, I am not going to take the likely 15 minutes it would take to remedy this problem to actually fix it.  Apparently neither is he.  Hmmmm, possible Valentine's Day present?  "Honey, I sorted the silverware!  Love you!"

Things I do like:

1.  A hot bath with a stack of fresh new magazines.
2.  Coming home to a clean house that I didn't clean.
3.  When other people make me sandwiches- they always taste better.

Looking over this post, I can only come to one conclusion.

I'm incredibly lazy.  I just would rather be laying in bed with a book.  Is that so wrong?

  1. Finally, someone else who shares my aversion to voice mail! I only listen to my voice mail once every 3 months or so. If I see that you called, I'll call you back. Why do you need to leave me a message that says, "Hey, call me back!"? That's what caller ID is for!

  2. OMG, I detest voicemail--especially of the work variety. That flashing red light is from the devil.

I would also rather climb Mt. Everest than put away clothes. They work just fine on the guest bed thankyouverymuch.

  3. I could not agree more. I tell people to never leave me voicemails and yet they always do!

  4. I could have written numbers 1 and 2myself! Our guest bedroom is my own personal dumping ground for discarded outfits. If you went in there right now you'd find at least 2 pairs of shoes and who knows how many articles of clothing tossed on the bed.

And voicemail. I hate voicemail. "Hi it's so and so, call me back" does not warrant a voicemail! I see your missed call, I will call you back! Hate checking voicemail. It makes me stabby.

  5. We hate all the same things!!! I don't mind doing laundry, but I HATE putting it away.

And... I don't get any motivation to check my voicemails because usually I wait so long to check them that they're no longer relevant!!

  6. I detest putting laundry up. I think piles of folded clothes remind me of my part time job at the lilly store, and all the discounts. Happy times.

  7. Are you my twin?
I also hate to iron and hand wash dishes.
Sandwiches always taste better when someone else makes them!

  8. Oh, the dreaded voicemail message. Why do people even bother to leave voicemail any more? I saw I missed your call, send me a text, email me or wait for me to call you back. I have severe anxiety about voicemail, which is why I never listen to it. That red light on my office phone that signals I have voicemail nearly sends me into a full blown panic attack!

  9. It seems like everyone hates checking their voicemail! It seems like all my friends know that I hate it, but my family are always the ones leaving me long voicemails that I NEVER check.

  11. It's like I wrote this! I'm so with you on all of this. My least favorite laundry are the whites...all of the socks, panties, etc. Too many little pieces. And I absolutely love a hot bath! I either read magazines, or I can see my TV from the bathtub...so sometimes I'll just watch the bachelor or something mindless!
