My life is in complete shambles right now- half of my clothes are at one locale, and the rest are not packed. However, I made sure to pack my ditty bag and keep it close. I, who doesn't leave the house sans painted face, have not been wearing makeup because I can't handle an extra layer right now. However, my makeup is also easily located. So I may not have sheets, but I will have eyeliner!
To make matters even better, I'm driving my family's mini van packed to the brim with lamps, beddings, kitchen goods and books. Oh, and wooden chairs. I can lift all of those things, and am too cheap frugal and wise enough not to pay others what I can do myself.
Now, y'all might not want to talk to me August 10th, at 3 o'clock in the morning, when I am frantically throwing dishes willy-nilly into the van, trying to get everything moved out. Not that I've ever done anything like that . . .
Let the nesting begin!
Good luck!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! So exciting! And yes, a bit hectic and stressful--but, it'll be over soon--you'll be in your new home! Ahh! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteHope everything goes smoothly! I am dreading starting the packing process... especially in this heat!
ReplyDeleteHope all goes well! And, that you and the Mr. can stay somewhat cool in this awful heat.
ReplyDeleteMoving is the worst, no doubt about it. Hope it is least worst for you!
ReplyDeleteYeah big move is happening. Its ALOT of work but so worth it. Just keep telling yourself that :) Stay cool!
ReplyDeleteLove it!! Sending you all the good vibes out there, Samma Faye!
ReplyDeletewoo hoo - let the nesting begin indeed! How exciting! Best of luck and girl - my car was the same way - loaded with lamps and "randomly-small-stuff-i-could-carry-that-could-be-broken-by-movers." hehe
ReplyDeleteShambles!! You'll get it done, I have faith. So exciting!
ReplyDeleteJust having lived that scenario earlier this week, I wish you luck, my dear. I think I went without make-up for two or three days. Between the heat and dust/dirt, it wasn't worth the effort. Try not to get too overwhelmed and drink plenty of water. And at the end of the day, put your feet up on a box and enjoy a glass of wine.
ReplyDeleteGood luck, I can't wait to see your new place!
