Weekend Recap- Atlanta

Update- I know why I look weird- I hadn't put my makeup on yet!! I am one of those blondes who needs eyeliner and mascara for sure to bring out my blonde lashes and light eyes.

This is the only picture I remembered to take in Atlanta. I guess I was too busy talking and drinking. Here's me and AGM Friday night before heading to dinner. I look weird in this pic, and couldn't figure out why, until realizing I drank a bottle of wine before dinner. Oops. (I wore the DVF dress Saturday night because Friday was too durn hot.)

We went out to JCT for dinner then hit the roof at Six Feet Under for more cocktails. Saturday I slept shockingly late, hit up Houston's for my fave club salad, Aileens for a mani pedi, then enjoyed white wine spritzers with Lime Perrier on the patio. All the respective husbands and boyfriends had been doing their fantasy draft all afternoon, so we headed to their fave dive bar to meet them. Had a great time and was depressed it was over Sunday. As well as exhausted.

Sunday night I hit up the grocery and made Hubs and I some dinner. We had delish roasted veggies. I simply chopped yellow and red peppers, two leeks, and a clove of garlic. I tossed them in kosher salt, fresh pepper, and olive oil. A 425 oven for 30-45 minutes- voila!

We enjoyed our veggies with rib eyes, bread, grilled okra, and iced tea (in Tervis tumblers of course). Simple and super yummy, although I was having difficulty sitting still due to my Mad Men anticipation. Did anyone watch? Thoughts?

  1. Those veggies look good! I do something similar with squash, zucchini and asparagus!

I have still not started watching Mad Men...I really need to get on the bandwagon!
