Tra la! I'm off to an Opera board meeting (I'm my city Opera's general counsel- it makes me feel quite fancy). However, board meetings are not the ideal way to spend your birthday- I'll be off in la la land thinking of the Pat Conroy book which is awaiting me at family birthday dinner. Sigh.
